Google Social Search

Ok it’s been out for a few months now, but it’s worth talking about because it is quite exciting. It is Google’s new “Social Search”.

What this does is provide relevant search results from conversations and posts your friends in your circle may have published in addition to the organic search results.

The whole ethos behind it is that your friends and other contacts play a key role in your online life. These people that you are connected with publish all types of information through blog posts, Facebook, twitter etc. This means you can now have access to this public social web content that has special relevance to you.
