I’ve been using WordPress 3.0 for a couple of weeks now, I installed the beta version when I moved my hosting account. I love it! The new colours on the dashboard make it look really sleek and less frumpy.
There are a couple of improvements that really stand out
- Bulk plug in upgrading, you actually get notified at the dashboard. This saves time. However beware if you do say 7 or 8 upgrades all at once and something goes wrong, which often does with incompatible plug ins, you would have to go back a deactivate them one by one to see which one was the culprit.
- The security improvements are really cool too, I won’t bore you with them all here, but they will definately make the hackers life more difficult (for a while anyway). Seriously though WordPress security is more important now than it has ever been so dismiss it at your peril! Our good friends at WPSecurityLock have written a great article about WordPress 3.0 and the security improvements.
